Digital summing
Mainly used for
critical applications where high precision is needed.
The
summing card is supplied with typically 4 A/D converters to
measure each cell.
These systems
have 4 times
the sensitivity over regular averaged summing cards.
Mismatched load
cells can be connected since each cell is individually monitored.
Transmitters of
this style provide diagnostics to display individual (load, Mv/v, %
load).
Deviation set-points can let you know if the vessel is
not filling equally on all cells.
Defective cells can be
bypassed, the instrument operates in degrade mode to keep your process running (not suggested for
critical applications).
